Social Media: Where to start 2
(Continued: Social Media: Where to start? )
Third step: the audience
If you have a starting place to express myself (my blog), and a few outposts where you can communicate in a less structured manner and in a real-time, the next thing I would do - it would find an audience.
For all three examples, which we began to read in a previous article (Personal Branding, PR companies and non-commercial purpose) basic - is to build the level of the followers (followers) and the interaction between the platform and the platform of your blog outposts, so we'll cover it all as one group rather than as individual goals.
My best advice for creating community and privlecheniyaauditorii - is to be useful. Write a blog post that others can use (like this one, for example). The more you help others, the more they will come back.
Avoid secondary posts in the style of "me too" as the latest news in your vertical. Chances are, someone else does it better, and your "me too" just shows that you are not creating original content. Try to do something original, not just excuse "I read this article on" if you're not going to detail is stopped on the ideas of the article and / or convert them for your particular audience.
If you are blogging company can be, these will induce you to some ideas. If you're a personal blog, these help you get started.
More important role in the growing community is a comment. Come out to other people's blogs and start participating. Use services like BackType.com (only English). Or comments Yandex search, to find out what other people are saying and where they comment. The louder your voice is in the common information space in which you do business better.
Important note: you can think of commenting in two places. First, when you comment on their colleagues, this will lead to better relations with your peers. But if you're going to build a business, start to learn to comment on the blogs of clients, your client vertical.
The fourth step is an experiment
If something does not work, try something else. If you are not using analytics and statistics packages to find out more about your web visitors, you lose them. If you do not learn how to use social media as a binding element of your business, but simply use them as yet another isolated case, then you have no good reason to start (for the business, at least).
Experiment. Try new things. I'm trying something new every day. This may be a blog entry. This may be a strategy on how I can get more people to do X instead of Y. It could be something as simple as turning to other people in new ways. But the experiment. If you're just sitting around, repeating the same things that you did in the beginning, you do not continue on.
While writing this post, I imagined a different idea: you learn when doing something, not when reading. So, after reading all this, do something.
